The aroma is strong, spicy, warm and woody-resinous and intensely sweet. Tannin content brings out darker hues when Cassia is distilled in copper or iron stills.
Action: Cassia is antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal.
Safety Data: If pregnant or under doctor's care, consult your physician. (May cause skin irritation, if applied neat.)
NOTE: While its aroma is similar to cinnamon, cassia is chemically and physically quite different.
