Action: Spruce is antispasmodic, anti-infectious, antiparasitic, antiseptic, anti-flammatory, hormone-like, cortisone-like; a general tonic, and it stimulates thymus gland. In human anatomy, the thymus is an organ located in the upper anterior portion of the chest cavity just behind the sternum. The main function of the thymus is to provide an area for T cell maturation, and is vital in protecting against autoimmunity.
Traditional Uses: Arthritis, candida, hyperthyroidism, immune-depression, prostatitis and rheumatism.
Other Uses: Spruce may be beneficial for bone pain, glandular imbalances, aching joints, and sciatica pain. It may help support the nervous system and
respiratory system, and can be stimulating to the pineal, thymus, and adrenal glands.
